Personalized DVD Conversion

Unlike other services that simply transfer videotapes directly to DVD, Personal Legend gives special attention and style to your recorded memories. The videos are put in chronological order by year with chapter menus and stunning DVD design. Your large video collection will be condensed into a series of DVDs that are easy to navigate and enjoy. The DVDs are artistically designed to make a beautiful display in your home.

Why transfer tapes to DVD?

If you have a collection of tapes around your house it is crucial to put them on DVD.  Tapes erode over time and get damaged.  Also, most people have no idea what are on the tapes as there is no easy way to view them.  Putting them on DVD allows you to enjoy your home videos on your TV or computer.

What types of tapes do you accept?

We accept every type of tape- 8mm, super 8, miniDV, VHS.  We also accept small DVDs and Hard Drive Cameras.

Why are you different from other DVD conversion services?

No other service personalizes your home video collection like we do.  They are put in chronological order by year with each scene labeled and chapter menus on the DVD.  The personalized DVD cases make it easy for you to know what is on each DVD and they make a beautiful display in your home.  If you take your tapes to CVS, for example, they hook them up to a machine that automatically puts them on DVD.  They are not in order, you won’t know what is on each one, and the covers are, well, unattractive.  Moreover, they only allow one or two tapes per DVD so you will get as many DVDs as you have tapes.  Because I condense each year into one DVD case, you will get as many DVD cases as you have years.  So, if you have 35 video tapes from 1993-2006, you will get 14 DVDsAt CVS, you will get about 35 DVDs.

What happens when DVDs go out of style?

Technology advances so quickly, it won’t be long when DVDs are outdated.  That’s why we offer to put all your videos in digital format on a hard drive.  This acts as both a back-up of your video collection and as a way to prepare for when everything is digital and stored in some “cloud”.

How much does it cost?

Our prices are very reasonable considering the personal attention we give to each project.  In fact, our prices are equal to and sometime only a bit more than the services that don’t even look at your tapes but just hook them up to the machine.  Contact us to get more information and pricing.
