Year in Review movie

Every year since Oliver was born, the Mascera family does a Year in Review movie, taking the best video clips and pictures of that year and putting it into a little movie.  I can’t tell you how much I enjoy watching their family grow and I look forward to this project every year.  The movies get better and better as the kids grow and their personalities start to shine.  I’m obsessed with this family!

Here is last year’s movie which I have to post, it’s just so sweet.

US Open video

Yep, that’s Fallon at the US Open beating Kim Clijsters in the finals.  With a little green screen magic, this entrance video was the perfect way to kick off the party and introduce Fallon.  Hey, maybe one day she’ll really be there kicking some butt!

If your house was on fire, what would you save?

I can’t stress enough how critical it is to convert all your tapes to DVD.  The collection of DVDs with all your family memories becomes one of the most valuable things in the house.  Most people have never even watched their tapes and have no idea what is on them!  I love hearing when my clients tell me they always watch the DVDs as a family.  I now offer the option to backup all your videos digitally on a hard drive.  I think this is crucial as DVDs are starting to go out of style with everything digital these days.

Here are screenshots of a couple collections I just finished:

I Love Lucy

As a surprise for Lucy’s 60th birthday, her niece and I created this spoof on I Love Lucy, superimposing the birthday girl Lucy’s head on Lucille Ball’s body.  Using my editing magic, only a still photograph of Lucy’s face was used, generating facial expressions and talking movements.  How cool is that?

Halloween themed montage

I love Halloween so I had a lot of fun making this montage.  We used clips from different halloween themed movies and shows to kick off each of the sections.  It’s spooky, funny, and sweet all at the same time.
